Nonviolent Civil Disobedience Workshop
Please join San Bernardino County for Bernie and IE for Bernie in continuing the political revolution with a character of compassion and wisdom, emulating our Presidential candidate, Senator Bernie Sanders and his decades of service towards a more just society.
This workshop was proposed for the elected and community delegates who will be attending the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, as well as for local activists and supporters who will be organizing and/or attending local solidarity marches and rallies during the convention.
If we are to continue the political revolution, we must become skilled and organized in methods of nonviolent resistance, organizing, strategic planning and direct action. We are also looking to conduct future training on peaceable assembly, media and messaging training, and more.
A $2 contribution to cover the cost of the room is appreciated.
"Those who profess to favor freedom, yet deprecate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightening. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will." – Frederick Douglass, African-American abolitionist
